I'm playing a fresh save with mods and CC removed, and in the past 3 or 4 in game days, I have been visited by 5 gnomes. I really don't want to play with them at all. I don't want to enchant them. I don't want them to visit me. I am not affected by the Gnome ailment. But they show up on community lots and spam their visual FX everywhere, creating tons of trash or repairing things and it is immersion breaking to have these gnomes in the stargazer lounge in San Myshuno.
Can we please disable them at least in worlds outside of Innisgreen or Glimmerbook. Or limit their behavior so that it is opt-in based on if you decide to buy one and enchant it yourself? I have one cute new potted monstera house plant in my apartment, I did not ask for some evil gnome to ransack my place, and then spawn an army of protectors or repairmen blocking my bed and cluttering the place. On top of that, it feels like cheating because you can get rid of them by selling them for free money!

Hmm, that's a good question! My business was open, so it could have been a visitor of the business, will have to check next time and find out if there is a visual clue if they are sick with this ailment,

Nope, no visitors to my apartment. I have my unit set to "private dwelling" to repel people. Gnomes just show up and behave as if I purposely bought and enchanted them. I thought they were only supposed to occur when you purchased them yourself, and enchanted them for your personal use (and thereby triggering the evil gnome). I didn't expect for them to occur outside of the ailment and the holiday gnomes tradition. And I certainly didn't expect for the evil gnome to just show up without any provocation on my behalf lol
