[S] [EBN] Gnomes spawning with no harvest fest/ailment

this just started happening to me after d/l'ing Adventure Awaits.  I've been getting Gnomes spontaneously appearing and "fixing/upgrading" everything non-stop (i don't want them to do this!) and it's both on my sim's home lot as well as multiple other venues visited (retail, restaurant, custom venue, etc.)  The only way to stop them is to put the Gnomes into my Sim's inventory, but more appear when I revisit these other lots. None of the lots have any lot challenges enabled.  I play on PS5 so i do not have CC. 

I recently purchased "Enchanted by Nature," and gnomes have been appearing very frequently. If a character with the gnome disease is present in the area, a real nightmare occurs on the active lot. This has happened in the high school, the penthouse, the apartment buildings, and other lots. The gnomes either perform positive functions or destroy everything.

It's my first time posting here so I'm not exactly sure if I'm doing this right but I'm having MAJOR problems with the random gnomes that are spawning. My sims have no ailments, and I've disabled spread and imbalance to minimise how often they come up but it still seems like every lot I go to, 2-3 gnomes appear and it's a nightmare. Does anyone know of anyway to stop them?

I started playing my game today, and a random gnome (that I didn't add to my lot) appeared out of nowhere. It happened with the new Garden gnome and the fairy gnome at Penny Pizzaz's apartment. It wasn't even Harvestfest! After selling the two gnomes through her inventory, I took Penny to the karaoke bar in her neighborhood. And suddenly, the gnome appeared out of thin air again! I just closed down my game to repair it. So, we'll see if they randomly appear again.

I've seen this. At first, it was a lot because a townee would walk by with an ailment, but then a random gnome showed up at high school (no one had an ailment that I could see), broke a stereo, and pranked a locker before it stopped glowing green.   dragged it to my Sim's inventory and sold it from there.

Just downloaded the fairies pack today and omg literally got attacked by gnomes. Just spawned in the apartment and there’s like 30 trash piles everywhere and every appliance and plumbing object broken. I found it hilarious until it happened AGAIN soon after I managed to clean up the mess! Like an sim hour later. Also why are the gnomes alive? From my understanding they only come alive if you have fairy dust to bring them to life. Also my sim is not a fairy and lives in san myshuno and has nothing to do with fairies so I was so shocked.

One of the ailments, gnome lure, can cause a sim to be followed by gnomes. Sometimes they are helpful gnomes; other times they are cretins. The biggest issue (which is likely worse in San Myshuno) is that they can also spawn when a passerby has the ailment, not the currently played character.
