UPDATE: it works for me now! both children and toddlers can ask Father Winter for a present :D
As of today this is still an issue in my game. No option for anyone to ask for presents but they can fight him for presents.
Today, as of latest update, my children and toddlers can ask for present, but adult/YA/elder cannot. (I did not try it with teens).
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but Father Winter refuses to give my toddler a Winterfest gift when asked for one. It's been a while since I played a save long enough to get to my sims having kids so that's why I said I wasn't sure if it's a bug or not.
Does your toddler by any chance have the Charmer trait? I've noticed that Father Winter refuses gifts to all Charmers and reacts to them as if they are being mean/rude to him.
Nope. He was independent. Now he's a child, but has a little brother, who is still currently an infant. Will update you if that boy has an issue with Father Winter.
So Winterfest rolled around in my current game. Father Winter showed up on schedule, both of my Young Adult sims introduced themselves to him, but I can't find Ask For Present on the pie menu interacting with him. (Only other household member is a newborn, so don't know about other life stages.) I've checked all the sub-menus under Friendly, but it has always been under the main Friendly menu. This is the first time I have had a household celebrate Winterfest since the Nature's Calling event started, not sure if it is the first time since the last update.

Father Winter showed up, my sims introduced themselves to him, but I don't have the option "Ask For Present" on any menu interacting, believe me I've checked all the menus and sub-menus.
I don't have any mods installed.
As the couple of people who commented before me, I also cannot find the "Ask for Present" in my pie menu after the latest update in my save. I don't have any mods installed and am on PC.
Child, teen, YA and adult sims in my household do not have the option of asking for a gift! They did in December 2024. No mods, up to date, PC
