[S] Sims Cooking Grand Meal Leave and Won't Resume

It's Winterfest and I'm trying to get my sim to cook a grand meal (breakfast), but she keeps walking away from the stove and will not resume cooking. It shows in her queue but has an X through it. There is no routing problem animation and no explanation as to why she won't finish it.

I am starting with a completely fresh game and The Sims 4 folder and have zero mods or custom content. I have repaired my game and made certain my video driver is up to date. Nothing has helped.

    Hi crinrict,

    No, I did not. I only have one household in this brand new game. I'll try it in a few, thank you for the suggestion.  I shouldn't have to, of course, for the game to work properly, but that's The Sims 4 for ya.

    It would still be an issue if it's only not working for that one household but it will be easier to check what's causing it. Testing multiple is always to try out if it's s a Sim/Household issue or just a general buggyness.
