This issue specifically started occurring when I turned on discovery quests through Trashley. I did not have a problem with the save before I did this.
Tested with a new save, and this is what occurred:
"EDIT: Resetting Discovery Quests, Resetting Guidance system, and loading into a different save then back into a save where the issue was occurring WHILE DISCOVERY QUESTS ARE OFF fixed this for me. "

I know this is an old post, but I have a question. After the game goes back to normal, can we put Discovery Quests and Guidance system back on?
I'm afraid this workaround isn't working for me. I'm still prompted for a season every time I travel anywhere or load the save. On top of that, Trashley reset a LOT of my settings, such as season length, autonomy, aging, neighbourhood stories etc. Wish I'd kicked him down my porch stairs while I had the chance.
The workaround didnt work for me, either
I was curious why my season length was different when I hadn’t changed it. It has also reset all of these things in my game as wells
It didn't work for me at first, but go back to an old save where there was no issue, travel then save the game. I did that and went back to the affected save, it asked the season once then was fine
