Holiday decorations constantly up with no option to remove.

Did you put the decorations up/have a holiday or was this a NPC house during the holiday ?
There is a known issue where it doesn't work if it's not the same room so can you try building a room around the decoration, place the box in the same room and see if the option appears ?
Are you still having issues with this ? Could you provide the info I've asked in an earlier post ?
