September Sale is blocking in game notifications

This drives me crazy when I'm playing! Am I the only one who keeps having that or just the EA app itself randomly pop up even when you aren't playing the game? I'll be playing a game on Steam or even signing into YouTube and BOOM! EA app or a little notification on the bottom of the screen telling me for the eighth time there's a sale. It's so invasive and annoying, I feel like I installed a virus (but I haven't). It's not like the sales do anything for me anyway, the only packs I don't have are kits and those don't go on sale so it's just a constant pestering for nothing.
