I have the same problem. Removing cc and mods doesn’t seem to work. I tried other things such as deleting localthumbcache.package and disabling my packs and the problem persists. None of my save files are playable.
i was able to fix this but i had to uninstall the game and redownload it onto my external hard drive and it worked fine after. im not sure what else can be done to fix it though i know uninstalling and redownloading is tedious. if you use mods you can keep them all just move your mods folder out of the sims directory before uninstalling and once reinstalled replace the new mod folder with the one you kept from the previous install.
I tried uninstalling and redownloading the game, and it finally worked! Just make sure you move your mods and saves folders to desktop before uninstalling.
