Ok, this is what I have done . I removed the trait "clear perspective" from my sim and the "afraid of the Dark" immediately disappeared! I went offline, went into my game after clearing the all thumbnail.cache(s). I was not in the game 5 minutes and the "afraid of the Dark came back. Here are 2 exceptions files. The older one is where I removed the trait and the buff disappeared. The newer one shows an error, perhaps it is the undesired/undeserved "Afraid of the Dark" buff? I will attach them to this post
