I am having the same issue with a freshly created sim (I decided after Adventure Awaits has been installed to just start 100% new). He's too scared to do anything other than fulfill his needs and refuses to complete any tasks. When he's inside the moodlet does go away but is soon back when he's outside during the day. I hadn't been cheating with the game but did turn to cheats afterwards to try to solve the issue. (specifically reset sim, add/remove trait, and aspiration points for the brave trait). This did not solve it. I just started a new game with the same vanilla sim again to see if he'll end up with the fear trait or if I can actually play (if not I guess I'll just start another new guy since the rest of the family seemed fine). I hope this gets fixed
