Could you please provide the following information
- Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.
- Which scenario is it that this happens with and did you use the same ones for both your tries ?
No cc/mods
The scenario happens when aging up during a vacation and then the vacation comes to an end and the family returns home, the sims are then displaying as their previous ages. I used a different family and save file to test it out a second time and it happened again.
The scenario tag is meant for when you choose a scenario to play at the beginning. Play scenario from the main menu,
I've removed the tag then.

I forgot to mention yesterday that you can try to recover an earlier save for the family you aged up again, if you want to do so. You may already know how but I'm not sure how new you are to the game. Here is a link to the EA help page to help guide you through the process:
