Sim won't accept queued commands

When I play on console, this is really just the reality- not only will my Sims appear to 'self cancel' queued actions if I stack even one additional action, but they cancel singular actions I set them to if I switch to another household member. I'll send a child to get leftovers from the fridge, swap to mom to start crafting a cut gemstone and watch the kid wander off and go for an autonomous bike ride- switch to the kid to get them to eat something before CPS comes a knocking and next thing I know, Mom's abandoned the gemstone she started to go dance to some hoedown tunes she hates and are giving her a stressed moodlet (and while I appreciate the hilarity of this chaos...) It makes me choose other activities over simming when console is my only option and I just want to relax.

Could you please provide the following information

• Are you using mods/cc in your game ? Please remove them and test without them if you do.

There's already several similar threads for this. This will probably be merged with one of them.

Often my sims don't respond to the actions I'm clicking on. For example, I'll tell them to cook something, and they just stand there and the action doesn't appear in the queue, or if it does then it disappears quickly and they don't react to it. Same thing happens with other actions, such as talking to other sims. The 'reset/debug' button sometimes helps, but it keeps coming back.

This is not a console only issue. If I ask my sim to do more than 2 tasks in a row they will just stand there for hours and do nothing 

I have this issue while playing on console. I have to press the menu button and leave it open for a few seconds before it starts working. However, it only works for a couple of minutes, and I find myself having to repeat this a lot. 

Sims randomly freeze and won’t do what their told for minutes
