After the update none of the cooking interactions with the fridge or stove will work. When I click on them it's like the command doesn't even register. It wont move the command to the que and my sim just stands there. I'm not getting any errors or anything it just doesn't register the command at all.

Could you try if any of the suggestions in that thread work ? If not, could you add some pics of your kitchen ?

Hi,
These are completely different saves.
I have no mods and I didn't try to remove them.
No
Thanks - crinrict1 month agoHero+
- are these all completely different saves or always the same house ?
- Did you never have mods/cc or remove them ?
- Did you try replacing the oven ?
- Here's a few more suggestions:

After 13th January 2026 update this started happening:
I play on PC with no mods, and this is happening in more than one saved game.
I have a lot of 8 sim households so I serve a lot of food. I click on the fridge and ask them to serve food. The sim goes though the animation untill they need to use the oven, at which point they get as far as putting the frying pan on the oven, and then the whole thing stops.
If I ask my sim to 'Resume Pancakes' the sim won't do it.
I thought it meant there was somthing bugged about the oven, so I'd ask another sim to serve a food that didn't need the oven. and that bugged too. That case they'd get as far as getting to the chopping board aimation, but no further. Asking the sim to 'Resume Garden Salad' and again the sim won't do it.Very strange.

(Sorry for the late reply) I managed to solve this issue. As it turns out, I forgot to clean out the cache files after updating/removing my mods. After I deleted them, it was fine again.

Would you be willing to share your save with me ?
If so, please zip your saves folder and upload it somewhere like dropbox, googledrive or OneDrive and PM me the link.

Yes, it happens in other households, too. I also noticed that the stove seems to be the problem. After a restart, Sims can cook and eat all dishes that don't require a stove. As soon as one is involved, they start bugging out. These are the kitchens I tried. The first one is from an EA built starter house. The second one is the one from my current favourite household (after I completely liberated the stove).

Does it happen in other households too ?
Could you both post pics from of your kitchen ?
