Simoleon issue when moving

My Sim had 95,000 and moved into a house worth around 130,000. The game allowed him to move in fully furnished (4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms), and after moving in, he still had 36,000 left. I hadn’t paid much attention to it at first because the places that he was moving into were just small houses or apartments, but now it's interfering with my storyline. he was supposed to be "saving up" to buy the house after his grandpa passed away. His grandpa’s will split the inheritance equally among his children, but my Sim, as the grandson, received nothing. Just to clarify, he wasn’t meant to inherit anything. The real issue is that when I try to move him out, he gets the full value of the house in funds, making him unexpectedly rich. I do not use cc, and the only thing I DO use is move objects
