I am wondering if this is related to the portrait outfit glitch?

For me this occurred with a sim who had just aged up from toddler to child, when we traveled to another lot. She was wearing her child outfit in the main view, but in portrait view she was still a toddler with her toddler outfit on. In the main view she had weirdly stretched limbs like in these pictures, and also was walking like a toddler. Then I had her change outfits a couple times and everything resolved itself.
This is what I think: that it's related to the portrait bug.
This happened to me with a Sim I aged up off-lot (they live off-grid, so they had to go to a Community lot with a kitchen to bake a cake). He aged up from kid to teen just fine on the Community lot. But then, when returning home, the portrait had reverted to the kid version. Since I've been experiencing the portrait bug, this wasn't surprising. Since my version of the portrait bug also sees the Sim revert to their previous outfit, I was alarmed, but not surprised, to see that the Sim himself had also reverted to look like their child form. So , I do what I've been doing, and clicked on the Sim to have him change outfits into his Day-to-Day outfit.
What happened instead was that he transformed into some horrific combination of the two age states:
Going to neighborhood view and then back in fixed it. So it's only temporarily horrifying. XD
