Sims Aging Up Are Getting the Weird, Creepy Looking Limbs

I've had this one bug twice now and it seems to happen after having a baby at the hospital.  After giving birth at the hospital (I'm doing the 100 baby challenge) and as soon as my sim returns home with the new newborn the toddlers in my household appear as infants at the bottom but are extremely disproportionate with their body, arms and legs.  It is fixable if I go to manage worlds and then reload into game but it seems to be a new bug in the game.  Only mod I have is the automatic thermostat by Little Miss Sam's however I had this bug before putting that mod into my game as well.  The mod was last updated in September of last year, however that mod hardly ever gets/needs updated to begin with according to her and her playtesting it.
