Sims Aging Up Are Getting the Weird, Creepy Looking Limbs

This happened to me just now when I went to the hospital with my sim to give birth. I came back home and one of my child sims was exactly like the photos, same with my two toddlers and my teenager. The game was saying they were the age before (child sim was told to be a toddler, toddler shown to be infant and teen shown to be child). Some of them aged naturally and some I had aged up myself with a cake. Some were werewolf sims, some were regular human sims. I tried resetting them but it didn’t change much though it did make them look less creepy. I didn’t know there was anything to be done (after trying some stuff) so I quit my game without saving to try and reset them fully which got rid of three hours of gameplay 😭 but ultimately worked.
