Sims are dying of old age with aging off

I have multiple families I play on a world. I was focusing on one family, and suddenly I got a pop-up that a sim had died, and then the same thing for 2 more Sims. I have stories off for those 3 sims that had died. Along with aging off. All 3 Sims were elders
