Sims can't die from drowning in open water

I just read myself again, and I forgot to mentionned, that her energy level was so low the entire time I though she would drown, but its like if her energy level stopped decaying completely. I tried to drown Cordelia and nothing would work. I think its probably the fear of water preventing them to die from drowning? I hope not and that it can be fixed...
