Sims children who die don't become ghosts

VIa savescamming I forced whispering wishing well to produce a child ghost when wishing for a child. And the spawned child was perfectly alive. I then entered CAS full edit mode and chose the cause of death manually, which transformed the child into a ghost.

I wonder if it's not possible for children to become ghosts naturally in the current version of the game (aside from Edith).
