There are so many sims now that behave mischievously even though they don't have a single negative trait!!! I hate this so much because I know every interaction can't be perfect but it's so annoying ...

Not sure if it's related but I've noticed since the last update (or the release of Adventure Awaits) that when my Sim attempts to talk to another Sim they don't know well yet, the majority of the initial social commands are negative ones instead of pleasant ones, and if I leave Sims unattended in a social situation, more often than not they start fighting. My teen Sim went on a date and within the first few minutes they were in an autonomous brawl (and it wasn't brawl day). It totally tanked the relationship and now they hate each other.
It's become a constant battle stop my Sims getting nasty with each other, especially when I want to get some romance going.
(No mods or CC, and I never even noticed the "mean bug" way back when that was an issue that was reported resolved, but now I think I might have it in my game.) My save file is from the day the Fairy expansion was released.
