Oh man this is driving me up the wall so much. Look, I only have the direct power on selected sim and let the rest have their autonomy. Before this was fine, I gave them a list of things to do and they would just do them. Like reading a book( skill) and other actions until I canceled them or they heard the call of nature or were interrupted by the sim I'm playing. This made it fun to have a large family and have them all still do 70% of what I wanted them to. But have some chance of them doing unexpected things too.
Now it's totally useless, they will stop to do anything as soon as I switch sims. Even if they had a whole que full of stuff for them to do. I don't want to turn autonomy off completely because else they''ll just start peeing their pants again and do absolutely nothing unless directed.
Normally I would direct them to cook, create a painting or whatever and they used to always finish the task before doing autonomous things again. Now they'll just drop the half prepared food on the floor and go talk to another sim on the other side of the property.
The new B&H pack has made this a lot worse.
