This has always happened occasionally in my game but it has definitely gotten worse since the 7/1 (EBN) update. I've never had them cancel a bunch of tasks to go listen to music before but that's a thing that happens now.
I have never had this problem and it is so bad now and it seems related to some game lag and something else going on that when I tell my sim to do something like take a shower, they will just stand there. I can't make them sit on a couch, use a computer, or anything else. This is like a progression on command queue being dropped. The only way to fix it is to exit the game and it will be fine for a while but inevitably returns at some point.
