Sims keep stopping/cancelling out their actions to do other things

Since the latest update (1.120.111.1030), my sim will stop eating after a bite or two and choose to read instead. If I cancel the reading activity and direct her to eat again, she usually (though not always) repeats the same thing - eats one or two bites, then stops and chooses to read instead. I'm not sure if this is the same issue or a new issue because it sounds similar to the one in this thread but I've only noticed it since the last update.
