Sims keep stopping/cancelling out their actions to do other things

So here's the latest with this post, never had a big issue with this now I am to where the game is literally unplayable and/or not playing. I've noticed with big gatherings, small business openings, restaurants etc. my Sims absolutely do nothing, time keeps ticking but my Sims will be queued up and just stand there, well, even townies, they stand there, no action, no movement, nothing. Once the big gatherings are cancelled, they slowly start moving again and then no movement anymore. I can't play it because Sims will not do anything
