Sims keep stopping/cancelling out their actions to do other things

Both of my Sims have several negative moodlets. When I try to resolve them, every action is cancelled and my Sims will go back to whatever action they were doing. My female Sim is so tired that she already passed out, but then her sleep moodlet says she’ll die from not sleeping. She won’t sleep. I’ve clicked on auto-solve for several negative moodlets and nothing, nada, zippo, zilch. I don’t even know if repairing my game would work at this point.
