I’ve been dealing with game breaking simulation lag since the September 2025 patch/update. Around this time I purchased the Adventure Awaits EP and was playing on a HP Envy Laptop. The reason I bring up the laptop brand is because it broke on me around March 2026 and I got a new laptop around April 2026 (Predator Helios Neo 165 AI) with way better specs than my HP had and I still dealt with the simulation lag on my new laptop. I’ve tested my game with a fresh new Sims 4 folder: no mods, no cc, no tray files, no save data included from mods. The only thing included in the folder was one of my current save files at the time. Even with everything removed from the game, the simulation lag was still horrible. I noticed that if I turn off full autonomy then my sims behave and do what I tell them to do right way without issue, but the minute I turn full autonomy on everything goes back to crap. In the 8 years I’ve played Sims 4, I have never experienced simulation lag this horrible. This is the one thing that is making me reconsider leaving this game for good which sucks because I really am attached to my sim characters.
