So it's only happening on a particular save ?
It’s happened on three unrelated saves, one it happened on I tried to carry on going which is why I managed to discover the whole save slowly corrupted. I deleted that save. It happened again in a second save and I deleted that one straight away as I hadn’t really got very far, this is the third save it’s happened on now, but I deleted it and reverted back to an earlier version before it happened and before I messed with the rentals and so far touch wood people are dying.
