LadyAofPineapple always PJs ? Think that would be important info to note in the title. Situational outfits are very specific outfits and if it happens all the time to everyone, it's probably not related to them.
I meant that they aren't changing into outfits that fit a situation, like going outside and not changing into regular clothes. Or clothes that fit the season. If there's a better way to word it, I'm all ears.

So they keep on the clothing they had on last and it's not about PJs ?
Situational outfits are clothing for
- Events
- Festivals
- If a walkby is put into a situation like the tourists in CL
Stuff like that.Just trying to find out if it's just about PJs or if they just don't change clothing at all when going out of the house or if it's about them not wearing their winter/summer outfits when they should (this should have a thread already)

What I'm seeing is that my played Sims tend to stay in the outfit they last autonomously changed into through gameplay. - For example: They change into a work outfit when going to work. They change into PJ's when going to bed. They change into swimsuits to go swimming. - Then they don't seem to change out of those outfits unless I direct them or other gameplay activities prompt them to change.
Cold/Hot weather doesn't consistently prompt them to change outfits. And then I get a notice that so-and-so is freezing/burning to death.
Unplayed/NPC Sims seem to have similar issues. Seems like they don't always change into weather, event or lot specific outfits. Or they do, but then don't change into weather appropriate outfits when they leave.
An Art Center is usually Party outfits, but NPC's don't always change if they're wearing another gameplay outfit. Most noticeably: a swimsuit. Probably others, but less noticeable.
At the Onsen Bathhouse they change to swimsuits, but then they go out into the freezing cold and don't change into Cold Weather outfits. Then my Sims have to chase them down and ask to see their Cold Weather outfits to prevent them from freezing. This isn't entirely new, but it seems to be more noticeable, so it may be happening more often.
Restaurants seem to work fine. They have assigned outfits and I haven't seen anything untoward.
Haven't had any Weddings or Funerals. So, don't know what happens then, but they've always been a little unpredictable.
All of this is sort of hit or miss. And isn't new. But, I do notice it more, so maybe it's happening more frequently. 🤷♀️

DizzyDee-K Thank you for explaining it better than me. I am going through a lot rn and posting here is taking a backseat. <3 The NPC children that died in my game weren't in PJs, they just froze to death because they didn't autonomously change into winter outfits
