Sims not moving in automatically when getting married

Sim not moving into the household automatically after the get married. Had to use cheat (add to household).

    Last time I tested this I got an pop-up to move in after the event was over.

    Did you have a base game or MWS wedding ? Did you wait till it finished or did you cancel it at some point ?
