Sims obsessively sit down to chat

When my Sims start a chat with someone and a chair/bench is nearby they obsessively walk there to sit down and continiue the chat. It's very unnecessary and wasting time. It usually happens in smaller rooms. Sometimes when there is a routing issue the animation glitches and the Sim will teleport/flip into a sitting position, then teleport back to their original position after completing the chat, only to walk the rest of the way and sit down properly. I don't know how to screenshot this. This bug started with the latest updates and it's very bothersome.
