Sims obsessively use objects

I've realised that once my sims use the bar in their house once, that's it, it's like they "found" it and the bug resumes as normal with them obsessively using it until I remove it. I didn't notice how bad the computer bug was until my recent playthrough where I have a sim who hates playing video games. He autonomously goes to play a game on the PC because it seems like not much else is coded for "fun", and then he makes himself miserable because of it. Sims just aren't autonomously productive with certain items like these in the house. I have the same issue with sunbathing towels from Island Living, sims always autonomously using it, even worse for them when the weather is extreme.

It's worse when you have a sim who has to use the computer for work or study. Without that, you can just change the security settings to lock the computer for everyone when they're not using it. But if they're using it routinely, you can't lock them out, and sometimes you think that sim is doing their term paper and it turns out really they're just forum trolling AGAIN.

I'd love to have a game settings page controlling what activities my sims can and cannot do autonomously. Switching off all mischief actions would stop a lot of hateful behaviour. Switching off everything that involves the computer would be great too - I could tell them to do their term paper, and they couldn't autonomously move on to playing a game or whatever.

I have put computer's and research archive in the household inventory because if not controlling the household they autonomously build the thanatology skill (Without any knowledge) which can lead to the deadly 'Speak dead Language' which can give negative sentiments to sims, until that is fixed and the computer is fixed my sims have to rely on easel's etc for fun stuff.

I took my bar out because they were constantly using it and my money was just dinging away. I cannot afford to have a bar at this rate. I love the world bar in Vintage but these Sims won't leave it alone,

I have a bar in one of my now playing household/ saves as well, mostly because they are supposed to throw parties and one of them is in the mixology career. 

Like previously mentioned in the thread, it is like the discover it after you have made them use it one. I have had to cancel out making drinks randomly interrupting whatever I want them to do, seems to happen more often when they are inspired.

Lately though they all gravitated towards the cross-sticking after I added that to the house... Let's just say I earned some money selling them and I deleted the box. Might have to delete the bar as well, or place it in the inventory.

The Sims AI is so stupid, all they know is playing games. Ask them to pee and bath they'll go to underground floor to pee and walk to upper floor to bath, unless you click the specific toilet and bathtub so they will not walking around to separate bathroom/toilet just to clean and bladder. I am playing on PS5 so it is a little hard for me to browse the UI so I always use the need interaction. So, having more than 1 bathroom is not a good idea as the AI is so stupid. They can make dozen of drinks and let it spoiled without drink even a single glass. And a lot more stupid thing they do, and they are so stupid. I suggest EA overhaul the AI to better one as the AI world now is evolve, but sadly not AI in The Sims.

my sims consistently have this problem with bars and computers with absolutely no related NAPs active. I have to keep computers locked for everyone (which is a pain), and I have to keep bar in inventory or else they quickly become addicted - not to drinking the "juice", just making it. They continuously waste money making heaps of drinks that neither they nor any other Sim have interest in drinking. And - there are plenty of other enriching activities available to them when this happens.
