Sims' portrait's outfit changes/reverts when traveling

My sim gets home from work and despite changing outfits multiple times (between cold weather, sleepwear and multiple everyday outfits) her portrait still shows her career outfit, which is the writer career. She previously worked in the culinary career and I didnt notice this issue so I'm not sure if it specifically relates to the writer career or not. This is a bit of a frustrating bug when you work hard on your sims' appearance and they're in a standard outfit all the time that doesn't match the style, personality and life youve crafted for them.
