I’ve had this happen a couple times since the Aug 19 update with my child sim. After researching there was a suggestion that the sim wasn’t loaded properly or recognized as fully being on the lot.
i don’t have mods or cc and never have.
I think I confirmed this by typing the “reset sim” cheat in the cheat bar and it would say “sim not found”, even tho I could ask my child sim to do other activities and they would do them, they wouldn’t eat or drink, except for they would eat produce.
What worked for me was to leave the lot with a different sim, summon the problem sim to the new lot, and then travel back where ever I wanted to be originally.
It was fine for a bit, happened again after traveling a few real days later, the same work around worked. Hopefully they will fix the issue so it doesn’t keep happening.
