I have found that to get sims to take care of infants I have to do some very weird things.
first they have to pick up the infant. if they dont perform that specific action they will ot take care of it.
after they pick up the infant is when I can tell them to do something eg: breastfeed.
before they do that they have to drop the infant and pick it back up. if I cancel that interaction they will not take care of the infant.
it is very annoying. I have mccc and cc installed.
That is also my solution - having the Sim pick up the infant before performing any other action. Otherwise the action gets canceled and the Sim just stands there instead of caring for their child. It’s a workaround, but it’s super annoying.
