I've been having this issue the past couple of days. First it was just with the infant, but now she's aged up to a toddler. Whenever I try to get my sim to put the infant in the crib, it always says there's something in the way or they're unable to put the infant in the crib. I've actually put the crib in an empty room or just moved it to different places and it still doesn't work. Now that she's a toddler, I've tried getting my sims to give her a bath and the same issue occurs. I've even tried switching to the toddler and having her ask her parents for a bath, but it still won't work. My sims will also just stand in one place for hours after trying to interact with a toddler or infant. Nothing is wrong when they interact with the newborn though. I don't have any mods or cc, I do have multiple packs though.
Do you have any LastException files in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 ?
- Delete the ones you have
- Trigger the error again
- Check if new ones are created
- If that is the case, please copy/paste the content here. You can open the file with any text editor.
Deleting the file won't fix your issue. Posting the info is meant for troubleshooting.

The issue is still there, my sim starts to perform the action but stops before actually doing anything.

yes but its not only with infants, it's also with toddlers
