Sims Stuck in Loop Using Computer

Platform: PC (EA App)

Game Version: [ The sim 4 version before and after the March 17–18, 2026 update] issue is more occurring after the latest update

Description:

After the latest Sims 4 update and hotfix, I am experiencing a bug where my Sim gets stuck repeatedly selecting and unselecting a a interaction. and has started happen a lot after using the new CAS “dislike” feature for objects. Specifically:

I set my Sim to dislike the computer in CAS.
After repairing the game and loading my save, the Sim automatically attempted to use the computer.
The game conflicted with the dislike setting, causing the Sim to endlessly loop selecting/unselecting the computer interaction.
I then removed the dislike in CAS, but the loop continued. The Sim remains stuck and does not perform other actions. casuing no gameplay
This occurs with no mods or custom content installed.

Steps to Reproduce:

Create a Sim and set a CAS dislike for an object (computer or phone).
Save and exit the game.
Repair the game (optional).
Remove the dislike in CAS.
Load the save. The Sim begins to automatically interact with the object but gets stuck in a loop selecting/unselecting.

Expected Outcome:

The Sim should either respect the dislike and avoid the object, or interact normally without getting stuck in a loop.

Actual Outcome:

The Sim gets stuck in a looping interaction, continuously selecting and unselecting the object, making noises, and cannot perform other actions.

Additional Notes:

The issue happens in my main save.
The bug persists even after clearing the cache, repairing the game, and resetting the Sim (resetsim *).
Creating a new save or moving the Sim to a different lot has not fully resolved the problem.

So I gave this a test and my Sim is not touching the computer although nothing else to do.

Could you guys post the traits the Sims have that do this ?

In my case All traits have issues with using computers. I set my Sims to be neutral when it comes to using computers (meaning they don’t choose to like or dislike using computers)

I'm having the same issue with the sim repeatedly trying to use a computer, but the action is canceled almost immediately. This repeats very quickly over and over. I have not set her to not like computers. In fact, I don't even see that as an option in CAS. I use MCCC as my only mod, but turning it off or on does not prevent the issue. (In other words, it's not the fault of all these people or their own equipment or mods, it's an EA-side bug. Please quit pointing fingers and investigate it.)

Heyo! Ive also been having the issue with the computer but shell also just randomly stand around with nothing queued as if she's unsure what she would like to do. This has happened on multiple saves. I just got back into the game and its never done this before. I started a save with the new royalty pack and my sim was doing this. as well as my current I've been progressing. She'll get stuck at her desk and i have to delete her chair to get her to go do anything else (take care of her needs). Haven't chose many likes or dislikes besides colors and things. never chose whether she likes a computer or not but her job forces her to work with it (Progressing the writing career, currently a novelist or slightly higher). Other than attempting a new save as my BF figure previous may have been corrupted, I have done no other troubleshooting.
