Whenever I have my sim trash talk someone, they gain a moodlet saying "from loyal sim trash talking a friend" when they aren't loyal; they're mean, genius, and self-absorbed, and the person they trash talked isn't even their friend. It's really annoying.

Yes, I believe this is part of a much larger issue where sims get moodlets for traits they don't have. I had such a problem with this!! My Romantic sim was getting the Unflirty trait "Committed crass act" during every romantic encounter and making it impossible to progress a relationship.
LittleMsSam does have a fix for this and added my particular trait issue - there's a place in her discord where you can list your trait issue if yours isn't on the list, but I think it might be the "stabbed in the back" one? https://www.curseforge.com/sims4/mods/rbf-trait-buff-fixes

Did you create the Sim yourself or download from the gallery ? Did you ever give them the loyal trait and removed it ?
Would you mind uploading the Sim to the gallery and posting the name here ?
crinrict I have a double NAT on my Xbox, so I haven't been able to access the gallery, so I can't upload it or download another sim. I've never given her any traits besides her current ones, so I don't know what could've caused it, but it happens with all my sims no matter what their traits are.
Hey, this seems to have expanded to also include milestones? My sims are now getting moodlets for milestones that they don't have. I'm playing rotationally in Mt. Komorebi. Some of these have become contagious. The ghost one I've only seen the one time, but sims from a bunch of different households are getting the bladder one and the rejection one. In the bladder situation, several people did /see/ a sim lose control of her bladder, but nobody got a milestone from it, including the sim who actually had the bladder failure. The rejection one I'm not even really sure where it came from, maybe from Megumi and Naoki divorcing? But people from a bunch of different families (who didn't see that happen) keep getting it periodically.
This one I'm not 100% sure if it's the same thing because the sim selected /is/ childish, but there isn't a proper nightlight in the room she slept in, there's just one of the snowy escape lanterns.I have a similar issue, if I change a sim's traits in cas and go back into live mode, they will still get moodlets related to their old traits.

I was just trying an unmodded save for a different issue I was having, but I wanted to report that the fresh family in a new save with no mods were still getting this issue, getting moodlets for milestones they've never reached like being revived (I forget the word from L&D), bathroom blunder etc.
