The update has broken the game. I ran it this morning and it was absolutely fine. Save and exit game so I can update the notes on my legacy family and then open up the game once I have finished the notes. My family randomly turned pitch black with no facial features and it happened to townies as well. I then leave and remove my mods as well as turning them off in settings, the sims are still pitch black. I used trusty Google to help me get an answer on how to resolve this and it recommended clearing cashe and repairing the game. So I clear cashe and start repairing the game. Now, I have all expansion packs, kits etc. so I know it will take a while for all of them to repair. It gets to 'The First Fits' kit and it completely crashes. It won't let me download it nor can I download any of the other expansions I have within game.
Update #1: Restarted Mac to do the downloads and it seems to be working. I will keep you updated on if my sims stay pitch black or not
Update #2: So I turned to Reddit and they suggested removing drawn tattoos that you have put on your sims and that has seemed to stop making my sim turn pitch black.
