My Sims' skin has turned completely black. These are the Sims with custom tattoos. Has this happened to anyone else?
When I remove all the tattoos, they go back to normal, but it's very annoying. I don't want to remove all my Sims' tattoos...
In case you wondering, I don't have mods.

im curious, did you ever have mods installed? custom stencils? this issue happened to me when i had custom stencils installed in cas, the damage was permanent in the save i saved over but after removing it and going back to an older save it was fine

No, I haven't had any mods installed before. Of any kind. I haven't had any mods in years :(

Hi! Does this sim have custom tattoos as in ones you drew or others in the gallery drew? If so, that's your issue! The new patch broke all custom painted tattoos, werewolf coats, and pet coats. It's rendering the custom layer as all black.

Yes, it's happening to me with Sims who have tattoos in the gallery. I'll have to delete them... I just found out this problem already existed, but it appeared for me with this update.😓

This is an older bug that got a turbo acceleration by the latest patch. It has nothing to do with mods and occurs on PCs and consoles.
I think it would be good for our cause if not everybody started a new thread for this issue. There is a search function in this forum, simply typing the word "black" is already enough to find the mother thread:

Yes, sorry. I thought it was a new bug because it started happening to me when the game was recently updated. I typed 'black' in the search bar, but I must have done it wrong because no posts showed up.
I’ll keep an eye on the post you mentioned, thanks.

Same, and horses as well. Both my previously brown/tan horses are now pitch black. They both had a custom color (not CC, just custom).
