One observation that may be pure coincidence: I can duplicate this issue with ALL custom tattoo Sims that I place in new saves or that are rather new in my gallery. BUT for whatever reason my main save that I have been playing for months is not affected at all, though it is full of tattoo Sims. I hope that won't change in the minute that I'm writing this! Maybe the reason for this bug is not only the tattoos/body paint, but also some other kind of trait that has been been introduced with patches/events in recent weeks. What is your experience? Are your "old" Sims affected too?
alanmichael1 my affected Sims are all the ones in my save game that have the paint tattoos - even the ones that I haven't directly played in weeks. Sims in the household that I HAVE played recently but DON'T have tattoos aren't affected. Does this make sense? Basically, at least for me, the tattoos are the common factor.
If it turns out to be something else that means I don't have to re-do 30 custom tattoos I will be delighted!
zactana Thanks for the info - no, I think the tattoos are the main reason in any case. My question was however, if Sims are spared who were in a save before a certain date, perhaps before the penultimate patch in June. That could indicate that the bug is not caused by custom tattoos alone, but by a combination of "body paint traits". Perhaps the upcoming fairy pack brings new body paint options (for the wings) and perhaps they have been patching this in for months and the latest patch was one addition too much. Does that sound logic 😃?
alanmichael1 Ah, I understand. Good point! Yes, that could make sense. I don't think I have a save I could test it on though, hopefully someone else will.
