Sims turn completely Black after Customization

I haven't played the game for a while now because of all the bugs that keep getting added with every patch instead of getting fewer. I only load the game to test what doesn't work again, according to error reports from other players. and then quit without saving. The fact that our Sims, pets and horses (in my case only pets and horses are affected) now all appear pitch black is another reason not to load the game at all anymore and certainly not to buy anything else ever again. Yes repairing your game over and over can sometimes help the pitch black issue, but is not the kind of game-play  a user should go through since the issue is introduced by EA and will always return until it get fixed! An immediate remedy for this game breaking problem should have been on the way like yesterday!

As I said before, I don't have any painted tattoos on my Sims, so they are not black BUT most of my pets have custom fur and some horses. All of these now appear pitch black. But the worst thing for me and the thing that hurts me the most is that I had 2 cats in real life who past away a few years ago and they were brought back to life a few months ago with lots of love, time and effort by the Sims-player “pugowend” and they have been in my game ever since. I cried a lot when I saw how beautifully and realistically she created my deceased cats, and she did it all just from my real cat pictures that I had sent her. And now, of course, these two are pitch black too! I know that many simmers here have also turned to “pugowend” to have their deceased pets designed by her, and are now surely as sad and suffering as I am. It feels to me as if they have died a second time. It's just sad that something like this had to happen at all. It's been a week that our sims and pets have been ruined and there is still no emergency FIX in sight! What a crying shame...
