One more thing, the household that had the two adult Sims, I wanted to test if the second Sim would have the same problem with picking up trash and dishes.
The one who was a fairy/changed to vamp wasn't able to move things as a vampire, but when the second one was made into a vampire (was just a human before), the second Sim was the one having problems, while the original one didn't. I didn't get rid of the vampire molecule from the original Sim for this test, so they were both vampires.
The recently added Sim seemed to be older slightly, so the new Sim was first in order on the bottom right UI. As long as that Sim was active, as a human, he could readily pick up objects and clean them, even if they are in the #1 slot, but as soon as that Sim became a Vampire, the original Sim, even as a Vampire, could pick up and wash dishes.
