Okay, something new. Don't know if it will help but MCCC came out with a new update. Remember, both with and without mods, the skills were going light speed but I was testing out a new idea, so I started a new save. This time, my sims skill did not go up at all. I was confused until I remembered that I had set MCCC skill difficulty to -50 which makes it so slow. After three hours of reading a book, they hadn't even gotten 1% of the skill.
So I went to MCCC and changed it to -10. In one and a half game hours it's gone up 4%. Like I said, don't know if it helps but yesterday -50 skill difficulty did not stop it from going nuts, today it works to slow the skill gain. Like I said, I don't know if it will help but since it is something different, I thought you should know.
