The aspiration Successful Lineage goal "have a child complete an aspiration" won't check off. I thought it was because I finished one of the newer ones "Playtime Captain" so I also made sure to complete the old one "Rambunctious Scamp" but still it won't check off on his father's aspiration. I own all the packs released so far and I got no mod or cc.

I just discovered this isn't working in my game either. (No mods/cc).
My teen Sim completed the Drama Llama aspiration and it didn't clear for his parent and then his child sister completed the Whiz Kid aspiration and it didn't clear either. 😢
I've been having the issue with the "Have a Child or Grandchild Reach the Top of a Career" aspiration. My kid has reached the top of 2 careers but it just won't register.
Were you ever able to move past the "Have a Child Complete an Aspiration" issue?
I’m glad it’s not just me that’s been having this issue. I’m trying to have my sim complete all the aspirations and this is one of the only ones I have left to do. Hopefully this can get fixed soon!
Same on mac. I can not complete Successful Lineage! I can not complete the aspiration off the list. "Have a Child Complete an Aspiration" weird that it still does not work 5 months later..
This is why I stop playing sims 4 or buy the new packs, I tried Supper sim challenge. didn't want to use any mods, but turned out a lot of bugs still there after over 10 years. It frustrated everytime you just started to enjoy the game, you ran into bugs. i couldn't complete a bunch of aspirations because of bugs. I have to download mod like UI cheat to complete it, but it's no longer fun when you do that. It is tiring and waste of money. This is might be the last message I wrote in sims 4 Forums. There are a lot more new games that are cheaper and have better quality than sims 4.

Same problem. I completed multiple child's aspirations and today completed one as a teen. I haven't gotten to the adult's point, but I am not sure it will work. I do choose mods, but it has never been a problem in my previous games.
I'm having this problem too. My child has completed 2 childhood aspirations but it's still not checking off. They also reached the top of Scouts but I'm not sure if that counts as a 'career' as it hasn't checked that off either.
No mods.
Yeah, also having the bug. One of my child Sims just completed the "mind and body" aspiration and it didn't fulfill the adult sims' Successful Lineage aspiration. I'm really hoping they'll fix it soon, since I'm trying to do a legacy and can't move on until she completes it. :(
Edit: I'm on the PlayStation 4 and have never used mods or CC, updated to the latest version.
Just wanted to add I'm also experiencing this bug - I had a child sim complete an aspiration (been a few days so I don't remember which it was); it didn't complete so I waited until they aged up to adulthood and completed a second aspiration (Painter Extraordinaire); the 'Have a Child Complete an Aspiration' component of the fourth stage of 'Successful Lineage' still failed to register as complete, blocking progression.
