The game doesn't work properly when there is an infant in the household

In recent months, with an infant in my household, the game has been experiencing constant simulation lags. For example, time goes by and the sim stands around for hours at a time doing nothing with the infant in his arms, instead of feeding him or anything else. This happens in all households and with all infants. It's impossible to play.
I've attached a video of the game's behavior, which shows the infant lying in the cradle and has a sleep animation, even though the game thinks he's awake and sad. You can also see how poorly the switching between sims works.

I have no mods and have all the addons for the game. My version of the game is 1.112.519.102
