I'd play my household for a bit, then the sims would be stuck sleeping or doing something. The clock also freezes at a certain time when trying to speedup through the night. I can't save or do anything but use task manager to close it when it happens.
Same happening for me. Took out all mods and tried repairing. No luck.
I have this same issue and my game sometimes freezes completely. I use no mods.
Could you post your Computer's DxDiag?
- Press Windows-Key + R
- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.
- Attach the Text File to your postI have been running into this issue for several days, definitely since the latest EP. And each time, I've had to force quit with task manager. I've also removed all my mods, repaired the game, I've tried resetting Sim etc etc. Hoping they find a fix!
For me its also since the last EP, when I disable life and death I can play my game just fine (or as fine as sims gets). I also dont seem to run into this problem after creating a new save file but I want to play my legacy save ):
I had the same problem. I saved my game*thankfully) then exited, sometimes killed game with task manager. Then I killed thumb??cache and restarted same saved game, until it happened again. Most irritating. The only mods I used are MCCC and MC WooHoo.

How many packs do you have ? Your graphics chip is below minimum requirements for the game.

Try updating your graphics drivers. They are very old.
tried it, unfortunately didnt fix it, the problem is also only there when the life and death pack is enabled.
Unfortunately, freezing can have many causes so few more questions.
- Are you using mods/cc ?
- Do you have the freezing on any saves or just a specific one ?
- If it's just a specific one, how big is the save file ?
- Have you tested multiple households on the save ?
- Could you post a video of what exactly you are seeing ?
They issue was in only one specific save, and happened first with mods but also with mods disabled.
I played a new save and this did not have the issue so I tried to play my old save to record a video but it seems that since the last update I do not get this issue anymore
