I removed my mods and cc to see if that made her normal again but it didn't she looks like she's pregnant. It even looks like that in CAS
Edit By Crinrict: Adjusted Title
Please use this thread for everything regarding infants/toddlers/children having distorted bodies or faces or simply looking different then before the patch.
Noticed children in my save have distorted proportions when one familiar child sim walked by with an inflated belly. This happened after updating to the latest patch, removing mods folder completely, deleting cache and only then starting the game. I have all packs up to (and not including) BH.
After this, I tested by loading up an older save, one that has never been touched by mods, dating back to the HSY patch (a snapshot of my legacy save). It has many families with child-aged sims that were born in-game, that were not deformed previously. After loading the save and checking families from neighborhood view, a lot of children have distorted proportions (exaggerated shoulders, bellies and behinds).
After this, I tested with a new save, no mods (mod folder deleted, caches deleted) and only checked the premade children. I created multiple clubs with child as the required age and used the club gathering to summon them to the lot. Some of the pre-made children appeared deformed as well. This was immediately after New Save > Create Family > Move them in > Start club gatherings. No editing, no CAS beyond family creation (not even outfit editing, just randomize and play). All these children's appearances can be compared to existing pre-patch footage to confirm that they're deformed.
I know the workaround with cas.fulleditmode and picking one of the three body templates. I would rather not do that in bulk since it was previously triggering corruption issues due to traits. I can't tell if there is face/head deformity.
Deleted the Mods folder before starting the game for the first time after applying the (25th Feb) patch. I looked at child sims in various saves: an old save from HSY times (no mods ever touched it), a save that had seen mods (with mods disabled) and a brand-new save file created after the patch. All had noticeably deformed child sims. I noticed the unusually buff shoulders, inflated belly or disproportionate behinds. I can't really tell if they got skinny or not. After identifying pre-made child sims that appear deformed in one new save, I created another new save and checked the same child sims. They have the same deformity. The child sims are Christie Sigworth (Strangerville), Maira Watson (HenfordOB), Olive Tinker (EvergreenH), Orange Bailey-Moon(DelSolV), Wren Grove (ChestnutR)
It happened to one of my sims kids as well and he never was a teen before. He was born in game and I haven't checked how he would look like as a teen or adult. So I don't think that's the only reason it happens :(
I don't play with MODS or CC and my baby sim's face changed his appearance.. I hope they solve this bug soon. These pictures show the difference before and after the update
Is this new thing implemented with face and body sliders (even if not yet used) maybe related to the fact some teen and older sliders are now impacting younger Sims ?
I just found a particularly impressive specimen in another save game. (Sadly, for some reason, I do not have a "before" screenshot to compare it to, but trust me, he wasn't anything like that!)
I have sent a message to EA Cade with a link to my save file. New save, no mods installed. just wanted to post the images from that save file here!
There seems to be many distortions, big bellies, arched backs, bigger hips, upper body has muscles.. they seem to be trying to take on an older sims body shape.
