I tried getting my Sim to feed my toddler sims and they just won't eat!

Ideas
Children and toddlers won't eat even though they're starving. Has happened across multiple saves and households. Sometimes affecting multiple children in a household, sometimes just one. Seems to get better after exiting to main menu and returning to a household but after a couple of days (sim days) it'll happen again.
Won't autonomously or won't eat at all?
