I tried getting my Sim to feed my toddler sims and they just won't eat!
They get placed in the highchair fine and the food is served equally as normal and when prompted to eat they don't.

I think I might have the answer. I was looking for this bug report. This seems to be caused by travelling with the toddler/child. For some reason they won't eat and even travelling back home it doesn't help. I fixed it by going into and leaving CAS and then they started eating again. Hope this info helps. Travelling for me at least seems to be the cause. Try that as a way to replicate it. Travel with them by using the map to see if it happens to you.
Currently playing base game + GTW on console; brand new save and haven’t traveled yet but had the bug. Like you though, CAS fixed it so thanks for not letting my triplets get taken away lol.
